Hebrews 11:5

Enoch’s story is a great example of how faith, not just actions, can bring us closer to God. Even though we don’t know much about Enoch from the Bible, his faith shows us that we can still “walk with God,” just like Adam and Eve before their fall. This idea of walking with God, which means having peace and feeling His presence, is really important in Christianity.

1. Peace with God

To walk with God means to make peace and work together with Him, instead of fighting against Him. We often see in people’s lives, like Adam and Eve, that disobedience can create conflict between what we want and what God wants. Sometimes, it even makes us blame God for our problems. To make peace with God, we need to recognize this conflict, accept what Jesus did for us on the cross, and try to live peacefully every day. This helps us feel God’s presence in a stronger way.

2. Presence of God

When we actively walk with God, not just talk about it, our faith becomes more than just a belief—it becomes something we can actually feel. Living out our faith, like Stephen did, helps us feel God’s presence. It’s like we’re reversing the negative effects of Adam and Eve’s fall and fulfilling our deep desire to be accepted. By making peace with God every day, we move away from feeling alone and towards a peaceful relationship with Him.
