To live as God’s Holy people, there are things to which we must say no — and that includes sexual immorality. This sermon helps us understand what sexual immorality is, and what God’s vision for sex and intimacy is.
Ephesians 5 tells us that as Christians, we need to avoid things like sexual sin, impurity, and greed, in order to grow closer to God and become more like Him. It means Christianity isn’t just about rituals, it’s about changing our hearts and lives to be more like Jesus. The passage also talks about the tricky balance between receiving God’s love, which doesn’t depend on how good we are, and trying our best to live the way He wants us to. This brings up big ideas like holiness, how we can change, and the relationship between God’s love and our actions.
