Overview
We’re looking at what it means to experience God. The reason we say Christianity is an extremely experiential religion is because the Bible says when we become Christians, we’re indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit resides in you—as a permanent resident.
As we look at Romans 8, we’re taught 1) who the Holy Spirit is, and 2) what it means that he resides in you.

Romans 8:1–11
Looking into Romans 8:1-11, we see the freedom from guilt for those who belong to Jesus. This highlights the Holy Spirit’s power to change us. The idea of the Trinity means that God lives inside us, leading us to think deeply about what it means to have Jesus in us and how it shapes our actions. The main points are about being right with God, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and the need to concentrate on Jesus’s love and presence rather than worrying about sins and feeling guilty.
