Overview

What does it mean for the church to be described by Peter as exiles (“elect exiles”/v1). This theme is important in a place like NYC where the church is called to be a distinct, counter-cultural community (in but not of the world). There is to be an attraction to the community by those living around us as they see the hope, grace and peace (v2,3) that comes from following Jesus.
