When we look at Jeremiah’s words to the people of Judah, we see the harsh results of leaving God for useless idols. The real issue here is like someone with an alcohol problem refusing to admit they have a problem. This highlights why it’s so important to admit when we do wrong and understand the strength and risks of sin. To really grasp the importance of God in our lives and His amazing grace, we must learn to rely on His kindness and mercy.
