Overview
We’re looking at the life of Jesus through the eyes of one gospel writer, Luke.
In Luke 6, we see Jesus choose the twelve disciples, heal many people, and teach a great multitude with his famed sermon we now call the Sermon on the Mount. The subject of this entire passage doesn’t immediately jump out at the reader. But the subject is community.
In this passage, Jesus tells us about 1) the promise of a true human community, 2) the components of this true human community, and 3) where we get the power for it.
