Overview

The gospel is not the minimum belief required in order to go to heaven when you die. Rather, the gospel changes your life—thoroughly, radically, completely, and now.

Generally, when people talk about changing your life, they offer two techniques. There’s the ancient technique of exercising the mind and willpower to discipline yourself. And there’s the modern way of looking at your emotions and becoming your authentic self. But the way the gospel changes your life is neither of these.

Looking at the story of the woman at the well, we see how the gospel changes lives. We’re going to learn here about 1) the breadth of it, 2) the power of it, 3) the process of it, 4) the depth of it, and 5) the reason for it.

Discover the deeper message in the parable of the Prodigal Son

In The Prodigal God, Tim Keller examines the way Jesus presents the parable to speak both to those who run from God and to those who try to earn his love by being good. It reveals the heart of the gospel—a message of hope for both the rebellious younger brother and the judgmental older brother, and an invitation for all to experience God’s grace.
