Overview

The reality of grief in this world neither proves nor disproves the reality of God, but Christianity certainly does provide a unique resource to answer the why’s of suffering as well as a means to navigating, dealing with, and growing, from the grief we will inevitably experience. The narrative of David and the child born of his affair with Bathsheba tells us that suffering isn’t retributive divine punishment, but it is a refining fire that can lead us to growth in grace and glory.
