Devotional
FOURTH WEEK OF ADVENT – SATURDAY December 27, 2025
READ Matthew 2:1–23
The wise men (Magi) find the King they have been searching for, and they worship the infant Jesus with gifts.
REFLECT
The wise men went looking for a king, and recognized him even as a baby born into a poor family. They worshiped him, and gave him gifts. What gifts do you offer to Jesus, “born to give you second birth”? He needs nothing, but accepts those who offer themselves as needy sinners relying solely on him for salvation and the life he alone freely gives.
PRAY
Pray with thanksgiving that Christ alone has saved you from your sinful state. Or if you haven’t yet prayed for salvation, pray: Jesus, save me. Come Almighty to deliver, born to set your people—born to set ME—free. Thank you, God, that Christ entered the world to save us!

This Month's Featured Book
In this book, Tim Keller goes to the Gospel of Mark and walks through it to help readers see how Jesus is at once cosmic, historical, and personal. As you read, you’ll discover that we can only make sense of our own life by looking at the life of Jesus.
