Impatience is almost seen as a virtue in New York City. To be successful you may have to “run over” people on the way to the top; there’s a fast lane and slow lane. However there’s a lot of damage caused by our individual and collective impatience. Relationships and compassion require patience. In this passage from James we see God’s eternal patience with us.
