Overview

These passages show us Peter’s denial of Jesus after Jesus’ arrest, and his subsequent forgiveness, restoration and call (Feed my sheep). The idea is that this encounter of Christ’s deep love and forgiveness by his friend and savior would have forever shaped his life and ministry. He was called to love and feed the church community in the way he had been loved and changed. Perhaps what it means to fail; minister out of weakness; the dynamic of repentance and faith as the key to the Christian life.
