Overview

Faith is finding your identity in Christ. But how do you do that? What we’re going to do is look at what it means to live by faith.

Colossians 3:1–4

Being a Christian means growing closer to Jesus, knowing that he is the one who makes us good, not our own attempts. Trying to earn our goodness can make us stressed and overly worried about ourselves, but the good news of Jesus shows us that we can accept ourselves because God accepts us through Jesus. This good news doesn’t just forgive us and free us from punishment, it also gives us blessings and special gifts. This motivates us to live good lives, not because we’re scared, but because we’re thankful for the love and kindness God has shown us.
