According to Christianity, Jesus Christ rules the world, even when things seem messy, using two key elements: common grace and providential control. Think of common grace like God’s way of taking care of and improving the world and all people, even those who aren’t Christians. On the other hand, special grace is the unique strength God gives to believers to help them grow closer to Him. It’s important to understand these differences and to value the skills and talents God gives to everyone. After all, every success, even those made by non-believers, can help the Christian community in some way.
