Problem of Meaning: Is There Any Reason for Existence?

Ecclesiastes 1:1–18

Ecclesiastes challenges us to think hard about why we are alive. It asks deep questions that can only be answered by looking at what the Bible teaches. The main question, “What does man gain from all his labor?” implies that without God or life after death, everything we do here on earth doesn’t really matter much. The book helps us realize that we need God to truly understand our purpose in life.
