Open Forums are specifically designed for skeptics or those wrestling with the claims of Christianity. Each Open Forum included a brief concert by guest artists followed by a talk and open mic Q&A with Timothy Keller. This audio recording includes the talk only.

Message Summary

Motown records has had a deep influence on history. It brought African-American music to the forefront of American culture and made a big difference in the Civil Rights Movement. Even though some people didn’t like it, Motown’s joyful tunes helped to mend racial tensions. It also recognized the different roles of men and women, and how women’s rights were changing within the African-American community. This story highlights how forward-thinking these musicians were, how valuable their insights are, and how powerful love and gospel music can be in bringing about change.
