John 19:16–30

When Jesus says he is thirsty on the cross, it represents a deep hunger for God and the emptiness we feel without Him. The idea of hell highlights the consequences of neglecting this spiritual hunger. Jesus’ selfless act on the cross gives us a way to heaven and eternal life. The change we see in believers shows the powerful impact of Jesus’ mission accomplished on the cross.
