Moses’ Journey

When we read the Bible, we need to use both our minds and hearts. The Old Testament uses real-life stories and images to help us understand the lessons in the New Testament. Take the story of Moses in the first two chapters of Exodus, for example. It shows us how Moses discovers he’s an Israelite, teaches us why it’s sometimes right to disobey human rules if they go against God’s laws, and reminds us that we should always put God’s commands first. The story also highlights how important it is for leaders to have a strong character, to grow as people, and to trust in God’s plan.
