Overview
Before Jesus is about to die, as he’s training his disciples to go out into the world to represent him, he gives one warning over and over again.
Jesus essentially says that you will fail in your mission if you don’t remember this. What is it? That if you are Jesus’ disciple, you will be hated and persecuted.
If we look more carefully, we’ll see he’s saying, 1) you need to see that you’ll be hated and persecuted, 2) you need to understand why you’ll be hated and persecuted, 3) you’ll need to know how you should respond when you’re hated and persecuted, and 4) why you’ll be able to.
