Tim Keller | March 10, 1996
James 5:11-12 advises us not to speak badly about others or judge them, reminding us that only God, the only one who makes and enforces the law, has the perfect goodness and understanding to judge. The book of James tells us that a real Christian life needs a faith that is alive and active, connecting teachings about right and wrong to a deeper understanding of who God is and how we relate to Him. It encourages us to be honest, not to favor the rich over the poor, and to have a church that is dedicated to the whole truth without thinking too highly of ourselves or being quick to judge others.
