Overview
These verses provide a condensed and distilled summary of Jesus’ message and calling: the message of the kingdom, and the call to repentance and faith. But this is not only a call to spiritual repentance, but also the promise of material restoration. In other words, the proclamation of the kingdom comes with tangible signs: namely, psychological, social, and physical healing.
