Tim Keller | November 27, 1994
1 John 2:3-11 is all about the importance of following God’s rules and trying to live like Jesus did. It warns us about being two-faced or full of hate, and reminds us that real love and a close relationship with God are what truly matter. It talks about the heart of the gospel, which is about being friends with God. It shows us that being a Christian isn’t just about knowing the truth, it’s also about experiencing a personal relationship with God. In the end, it gives us three ways to know if our faith is real: if we’re obeying God’s rules, if we’re loving other people, and if we understand and believe in the gospel’s message.
This Month's Featured Book
