Open Forums are specifically designed for skeptics or those wrestling with the claims of Christianity. Each Open Forum included a brief concert by guest artists followed by a talk and open mic Q&A with Timothy Keller. This audio recording includes the talk only.
1. The Strength of the City
Living in a big city, like New York, can be like a journey. It can help you grow as a person and find out more about yourself. But it can also be risky. In a city, people from all walks of life live close together. This can push you to become a better person, but it can also make you feel alone and left out. What’s important is knowing how to live well in a city, despite its challenges.
2. Living Well in a Metropolis
Big cities, like New York, show us both the best and the worst parts of being human. They give us a glimpse of a heavenly city that is yet to come. Christianity often spreads in these city environments, which can make us question our existence and realize our need for a relationship with God. In the end, we are all citizens of God’s city, made possible by Jesus’ sacrifice. This idea should guide how we act in our cities here on earth.
