Power of the Word

Matthew 5:33–37; 7:1–5

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches us about the power of our words and how they can hurt or heal others. He points out that religious leaders focus too much on making promises, but what’s really important is simply being honest. He also tells us to be humble, to think about our own actions before judging others, and to show grace and forgiveness. This way, we can create a community that reflects the love and character of Jesus.
