How We Live as Believers
In 2 Kings chapter 5, a slave girl prompts the Syrian general Naaman to seek help for his leprosy from the prophet Elisha. In what other ways was Naaman restored? Why did leprosy strike Gehazi, Elisha’s servant aide? What made the little captive slave girl a key to Naaman’s transformation? This sermon shows the marks of a person who met God, the marks of a person who misses God, and one who enables us to meet God.
How We Become Believers
2 Kings chapter 5 describes the success, status, and wealth of the Syrian general Naaman. Naaman, however, was also a leper. What did Naaman discover when he went to Israel to find the prophet who could help him? This message uncovers why people seek and how people find.
Two Men With Money
Meeting with God and grasping the grace he freely gives us changes our relationship to our money, possessions, and career. When we see that salvation cannot be earned or gained through hard work, we are freed from the idolatry of wealth. When we experience this freedom, we can give with spontaneity and joy.
