Overview
Many Americans disregard Christianity not because they don’t believe in God, but because they don’t believe in the church. Jesus exhorts the church to be a “city on a hill,” a community where people love and serve one another, in fellowship with God as well as with our neighbor. When he fulfills our deepest needs, we can find resources that we never knew we had for serving others.

John 21:1–22
When Jesus meets his friends by the Sea of Galilee, shares food, and talks with Peter, it reminds us how vital it is to trust in God and the church. This story highlights how the church can tackle and reshape problems in society, and how real friendship can build a community that doesn’t judge. At its core, it encourages a kind-hearted community that follows Jesus’ purpose and sparks changes in the world.
